Coffee and banana porridge
Think coffee and walnut cake but porridge.
Coffee and Walnut Porridge
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 Banana
1 tsp Butter/Oil
40g Rolled Oats
40ml Coffee
150ml Milk
1 Square Dark Chocolate (chopped)
Optional: (1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract, chia seeds, honey, agave, jaggery)
Method:
Mash half a banana and add with the rest of the ingredients apart from the choc and cook for 5 minutes over a medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Half the rest of the banana and gently fry with some butter and oil (so the butter doesnโt burn) with some sugar or jaggery until golden brown. Fry both sides for about 3 minutes whilst the porridge is cooking.
Serve into a bowl and top with the fried banana, chopped dark choc and other toppings of choice.
